CoPIRG Foundation – Colorado’s Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) program is designed to make recycling easier, more consistent, and more widely available by requiring producers to fund and improve the recycling system.
The program, which begins rolling out in 2026, aims to improve recycling rates, standardize what can be recycled across the state, reduce pollution and greenhouse gas emissions, and make recycling more accessible without adding direct costs to residents.
